Great Inspiration
I found this blog yesterday-a mad tea party with alis. It's such a great mix of art, interiors, crafts and other things. I loved these handmade toys and birdcages....

Chloe Shoes
This picture ran recently on the Sartorialist. I'm in love with everything about this outfit. The touch of green, the amazing overcoat, the waistcoat with the pouch. I especially love the Chloe shoes. I tried them on last year, and have regretted not getting them ever since. I checked on YOOX this morning, and found a dark brown pair in my size for $248!
I ordered them...can't wait!

Marc Jacobs Jacket
I'll admit, I'm not the biggest fan of Marc Jacobs, but I found this really cute jacket marked down 75% at Barney's after Christmas, and I couldn't resist. I actually like it a lot. Worn out for a quick lunch with Hysteric Glamour Jeans, Dries Sandals. (Isn't it funny how quickly it warmed up here?)
Haunted Leopard
This is my great "Tragic Leopard Wearing Babushka" painting that Jane and I found together while junking in Dallas....
Isn't it fabulous? When you look at this painting only one word comes to mind--why? Why would someone paint a leopard wearing a head scarf in shades of grey? It will always remain a mystery I suppose, but I'm taking it out today to get it properly framed in the grand style it obviously warrants. I'll show everyone when finished. I'm thinking gold--over the top. This is one special leopard.
A Couple of Things
You guys were so sweet to worry about Carol not going on the Tokyo trip. Jane and I really wanted her to go, however, she is going to Paris with her dad and cousin. I'm sure they're going to have a great time. Carol and I get our alone time together in the summer when their dad takes Jane to Mexico. We usually skip that trip and have a real nice time home alone.
Another thing--yesterday my hits were up like 1000%, and I know there were a lot of new readers. I could not tell where the hits were coming from. If you are a new reader, would you mine dropping me a quick note to let me know where I was linked? I would greatly appreciate it.
Lastly--Jane is in Teen Vogue this month. It just hit the stands, so if you get a chance, have a look. It's a very nice article on Teen Bloggers. I know she'll be featuring the article on her blog soon.

Oldie but Goodie
I love to re-visit the Fall 2004 collection From Undercover. I really like how it captures the Japanese street style feel. Speaking of street style, Jane and I will be going to Tokyo in June. We're so excited! We will be living there for three weeks, and totally immersing ourselves in Japanese street style.....Here are pics from the Undercover Fall 2004 collection.

DIY T-Shirt
Being stuck indoors always motivates me to do something creative. The other night Jane and I watched Matrix-Reloaded. I was so inspired by the wardrobe! Of course Keanu's black trench is amazing...
I love the overall steam punk vibe of this movie, and how all of the clothes looked like they were on the verge of coming unraveled..so feeling inspired I thought I might try to do a shredded t-shirt much like the one on Camille's blog.
I love how she did this--I watched her tutorial on line, but either I'm inept, or my t-shirt had too much elasticity....probably a bit of both. Either way, I ended up with this....I got a little carried away on the studs.
Not quite the same, but I kind of like it. Thanks Jane! Carol kept me company and studded her own converse tennishoes....
Frida Kahlo
My mom bought me this book for Christmas, and I'm finding it so inspiring! " Self Portrait in a Velvet Dress."
Pardon my crummy photos...it's a book full of images of Frida's wardrobe. Truly amazing. The traditional Mexican patterns are so simple, I'm feeling inspired to try and make my own "Frida" outfit. I don't think my embroidery skills are up to par however...
The book also includes many photos of her white petticoats, bags, scarves, and head pieces. This book is a must for the Frida or textile lover.
