Today Jane and I did a photo shoot.  I wore an old scarf that I picked up in Morocco and Pleasure Principle  top.....

This scarf is ridiculously long...like almost as long as a bed sheet, but so fun and dramatic. 

I picked up this Pleasure Principle top in NY at Seven Boutique--I with they had more pieces. 

I also wore Levis jeans and Golden Goose cowboy boots...

I hope you all have a great weekend planned...I know I do!

White Elephant

Met up with my friend Samantha yesterday for a trip to the White Elephant in Dallas.  Samantha has been telling me about this place, but this was my first trip.  It was fantastic!  A destination spot if you like the weird and macabre.  (like me!)  I snapped a few photos...

I really flipped over these life size cement garden lions.  Pardon all the shots, but I just couldn't get over them!

This sculpture reminded me of Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas--it's made of copper and some type of cement.....I really like the strangeness here.  Imagine this piece in the right setting...pretty great!!

I also really liked this doll or puppet.  It's from the 80's--it's so fun in a really creepy way.

NY Snaphots

Home from New York.  It was truly a great trip.  There is so much to see in NY, and I think we saw most of it---my feet are so tired today.  Here are a few snapshots of our trip....

Here I am having breakfast.  Wearing Pamela Love Talon necklace, and leather vest from Opening Ceremony.  More on Opening Ceremony to come.  This is my favorite store, and I cannot say enough good things about it.

Here I am at Topshop.  Nicky and Shea took excellent care of us during our visit.  The girls are piling clothes all over me.   We got to have a sneak peek at Fall 09, and I have quite a few things on my wish list.

Hi From NYC

We're in New York--having a fantastic time!  Went to Opening Ceremony this afternoon, and found some really great things.  I'll share when I get home...

Wearing My Givenchy's and Meeting up with She Plays Dress Up

I got a chance to wear my new Givenchy's before it gets too hot.  Jane and I did a photo shoot with Bret Sano.  Bret is an emerging editorial fashion photographer who primarily works as a graphic artist and art director.  He was so kind to do a test shot with us.  It was a great time.....

I spent yesterday with Amee  from She Plays Dress Up.  Amee has a great blog, definitely have a look.  Amee's boyfriend Phillip came along too, they're both the sweetest people you would ever want to meet!!

Blogger Meetup

Yesterday I had lunch with the fabulous Nini  and Hanh.  They are both bloggers that live in the Dallas area.  I actually see Nini and Hanh often, but this was the first time we bought cameras along.  They both have great style and great blogs.  Nini's is Ninistyle,

and Hanh's is called Life in Travel.

Happy Mother's Day

Tomorrow is Mother's Day so I wanted to wish every mother out there a very Happy Mother's Day!  Whether you're a mother to children, a husband, boyfriend, dogs, cats, fish, birds, or if you just entertain nurturing thoughts. Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful, caring moms out there.  I've been warning the girls that on Mother's Day I would post some of my favorite photos of them--so here they are!  Notice a very young Jane dressed as Coco Chanel for Halloween.  Happy Mother's Day mom...... xoxox
