I'm crazy for this line I found at Opening Ceremony on our recent visit to NY. NAKKNA - Based in Stockholm, Nakkna was founded in 2003 by designers Camilla Sundin, Claes Berkes and Ella Soccorsi who met at the Beckmans School of Design.
- The label produces menswear, womenswear and basics like T-shirts and denim.
- Nakkna's designs are avant-garde but wearable, balancing complex geometric constructions and inventive draping with attractive silhouettes and materials.
I Picked up two pieces. A dress.....
I love this piece. The print is great, and I love the length. I like the volume of the dress, and that the sleeves are not gigantic.
Here is a close up of the YSL cage boots....
Close up of silver jewelry.....I also got these khaki trousers.
They have a pleated front and asymmetrical flap in front. I also got this great utilitarian leather vest at Opening Ceremony. It's by Vena Cava.
Worn with Givenchy boots...
One last shot of the YSL cage boots....Jane and I are counting down to Tokyo now....
Amazing pieces! Ridiculously beautiful pictures!!
The light is gorgeous.

That last photo is absolutely stunning. And those YSLs look great with the dress; the straps mimic the dress's linear quality.

I LOVE THAT DRESS JUDY!!!!! those shots of u were beautifully taken...EXUBERANTE!!!!! How much I would love to get my hands on those Givenchy's and YSL's. OMg JUDY, I been desperately looking for the ANN D's Lace Up booties everywhere. Do u know if any stores have it in Dallas still in size 7 or 7.5? I would sooo greatly appreciate it. I contacted all the Barneys and Saks all over the USA and nothing.
Muahhhz darling. Can't wait to see ur pics when u go to Tokyo. I just got back from Costa Rica and posted some pics on the blog.

Great buys! I love how fearless you are with your choices, and how you manage to pull them off with such class. That photo with the red pillars might make a stunning header for your blog.

That dress is fantastic! I agree about the volume with the tighter sleeve. So good! Am definitely going to check out the line. And the pants and the vest... all impeccably styled, as usual! Bravo!

Eeek, I have been in love with that vest after I saw it on the OC website. I got to see it in person when I went to NY last month at OC and Barney's and was dying over it! I love the combo of the fisherman style in a fitted black leather!

I had a pair of pants like that in high school. I LOVED them so much! I was just thinking, how I wished I had them.
I like the version of the cages that you and Jane got, much more than the first round.

Gorgeous images! That dress is incredible - there's nothing like wearing true art. There's something so special about it...gorgeous pants, as well, I like them with the vest for some interest. Your hair is so naturally pretty, too...

Beautiful dress Judy, it looks so comfortable! I hope you are taking it with you to Tokyo.
The color of the YSL cage boots is so pretty, and Jane's too. I prefer this style over the black allover cage booties that first came out. I'm loving the double platform on the Givenchy's too!
Wishing you & Jane a wonderful & safe trip to Tokyo. We are all looking forward to your posts, pictures & purchases! :-)

hi there,
great pictures! (congrats to the photographer)
Did you check the Gerard Tully pieces at OC. I think you might like them. Similar to Christopher Ross' style, little less wild though.

Also, there is a movie that I think you gals will probably enjoy, the title is "Innocence" from the french director/writer Lucile Hadzihalilovic.

I love your dress and sense of style. The print of the dress is georgeous! It reminds me of Marimekko, a Finnish company and their awesome prints. http://www.marimekko.fi/eng
if you want to check it out. They have some really nice pieces, and also things for home decoration. And some shopes in the U.S. too!

Oh and I forgot one important note! I was browsing their website and found out that there is a possibility to win one of their new bags. There is not much time left, the next time someone wins is already 15th of June so there's just couple of days time to have the chance to win one of those cuties for free. http://www.marisnewbags.com/#

The dress has this African vibe to it and the cage booties! They go so well together, almost like a modern tribal costume. FANTASTIC! You should check out these shops if you ever come to Melbourne (Alice Euphemia, Marais, Assin. =)

yea that dress is so insanely good. Perfect to just throw on when you're not in the mood to calculate an outfit. The grid shoes go so well with them too.

Sorry, my english is really bad.. But I'll try:
Found your blog thru your daughters blog, and a would say that your fashion sense is mutch more refined, and with much more personality instead of "dressing up". The way you dress and wear your chlothes is almost scandinacian (beeing one myself)
I really like the mix of old and new, and more refined sophistication.
Posted by: Inger | June 12, 2009 at 10:26 AM
Judy, the photography is fantastic and you look beautiful in your new dress! I like the up-close shots of your jewelry and YSL cage shoes. I hope you have a very fun and safe trip to Tokyo! Keep us updated please :)
