Right before Christmas Shrimpton Couture tweeted about this beautiful Malcolm Starr dress. I purchased it right away. I'm a huge fan of Malcolm Starr.
It's a very heavy wool dress with great detailing, and wonderfully deep set pockets...
I paired it with my new Chanel pony hair boots. When we were in Paris over Thanksgiving, Jane bought these Chanel boots, and I wanted them so badly! Unfortunately, they did not stock them large enough for me. I searched everywhere for them, and finally found a pair on ebay. Luckily for me, by the time I found them, they were marked down drastically. Mine are the higher version, and I think I prefer this....
I skipped the self fabric belt that came with the Malcolm Starr dress, and wore my insane Christopher Ross monkey belt.....
I'm in love with this Malcolm Starr dress that sold recently on Shrimpton Couture.
I would have loved to have it--but it would have languished in my closet. I don't think I would have had an occasion to wear it. Malcolm Starr is great, and very affordable.
Shelly wanted to come out with us today...sorry Shelly.
You have to stay home..you're too naughty.
you look AMAZING. And that monkey belt, omg. I'm jealous.

Hi Judy,
I smiled when I saw "Shrimpton" in the title of this post...then more when you mentioned Malcolm Starr. Turns out I'm the one who bought the pink dress :). I don't know if it will sit in my closet a lot, but I fell in love with it too and MS's other pieces on the site. Love how you've done this dress with the boots!

Oh wow, those are beeeeeautiful boots. Sigh. I like these better than the other version, too, I think -- the height and the chunkiness are really unique. I always feel bad for not taking my dog with me, too...:)

Love, love love! This may be my favorite Judy ensemble. How lucky that you found the Chanel's on ebay - a classic that will last for years. I've been looking (not too hard) for the red and black shoes Chanel gifted Jane to go with a vintage Bill Blass dress and recently won two Malcolm Starr dresses on ebay (one much too small, but I had to have it nonetheless) -- I adore :)

love the way you put this look together...seriously...the dress is absolutely gorgeous...

I love the dress AND THE BOOTS :) it's very you.
That face that Shelly makes made me smile. My dog Charlie does the same thing when she wants something that she can't have. Is Shelly bad when she's outside? My Charlie goes crazy when she sees other dogs in the park. It's embarrassing, it's like having a child throwing a really really really bad temper tantrum in the grocery store :(

Hi Judy,
Just got the dress about 2 hours ago and it's FABULOUS, omg, I'm addicted. I'll style it up later tonight and send you pics. Looking forward to seeing more posts from you, and love the monkey belt.

I thought I liked the boots in grey tweed, but you have changed my mind! Especially love the extra height of the shaft (is that what it's called??)

When I saw Jane's Chanel boots a while back, I tried to track them down via Chanel, but they don't sell them in the US . . . Your ebay find gives me hope! They look stunning.
I love how you styled the dress with the Christopher Ross belt. So fun!
