Jane Keltner wrote a great article in this months Teen Vogue about Jane, her blog, and our design collaboration with Gryphon. Jane and I were asked by Aimee at Gryphon to design a trench for their spring 09 line. Here are some photos that I took of Jane that show better detail of the trench. We were very proud of the way it turned out, and so honored to work with Gryphon!
Jane and I were especially pleased with the bell sleeves! Gryphon did such a fantastic job interpreting our original sketch. We were inspired by the style of Amelia Earhart when we first started sketching, but also wanted to add elements of Mad Max and other post apocalyptic movies. We both love how the attached leather pouch turned out.
Big Thanks to Aimee Cho and Jane Keltner!
UPDATE:Pricing information and stores that will be carrying the trench coat.

Reminding us all that a splurge on clothing can be realitic AND combined with thrifting to overall save the budget! After all, you need to spend the $ to go somewhere to be seen in those SPLURGE clothing items!!!! :) Thank you!

I've been following Jane's Blog for a long time right now, but I have never visited yours!!!
I love the quietness of the blog, compared to the all-around-energy of your daugther. u live very close lives, but readers can see the strong personality you have both of you!
congrats :)

judy i am completely smitten with this trench! i was very curious to see what your collaboration with gryphon would be like- i was excited, but not too sure since i love gryphon designs just as they are. but this coat blows me away! i have a think for what i alternately call wizard sleeves or stevie nicks sleeves- and those sleeves combined with the signature crinkly gryphon fabric, plus that fabulous belt and buttons... every detail is perfect.
just this week i posted a list of the things i want to buy this year- there were only 2 things on the list. well, now there are 3, hehe. i swore i would only buy more gryphon jackets at their sample sale (i already have 3 of them), but i'm going to need an exception- this one is a must have! great work.
