Today Karen and I spent all day putting the finishing touches on the first batch of beetle belts. You all know how I love to recycle t-shirts, so it seemed fitting to make their dust bags out of old laundered t-shirts.
Karen and I were pleased with how they turned out.
Cutting the belts--this is the leather before it's polished.
A beetle waits to be assigned it's belt.
Marching off to their new homes.........
We start shipping tomorrow. I have invoiced or written to everyone that ordered a beetle belt--if you ordered one, and did not by chance get an invoice, just let me know. We had orders from both sites, and one could have been easily overlooked.
All for now.......
This is really corny, but I am envisioning a little stop motion animation of the beetles crawling along.

I love the recycled t-shirt idea! Does each pouch have a message?

Judy, I hate to comment on something not pertaining to your post, but I think it was your blog that highlighted a young fashion blogger. I can't remember her name, but she lived in London I believe, and her url possibly had the word 'avenue' in it? I'm hoping it was your blog, I went through most of the archives, but my scrolling finger got tired. Thanks if you can help! And thanks for the fantastic blog posts!

Great idea with the recycled t-shits as dust bags!
Do you have any plans of other styles for belt buckles except for the beetle and the octopus? :)
Best regards
Sophie♥

Love them! And, what a fun thing to do with family. If my sister and I went into business together, I'm pretty sure we would spend 99% of our time drinking wine and shopping. So, congrats on accomplishing something! Haha.
