This is my fall outfit! I'm not doing any shopping this fall unless it's a vintage piece I can't pass up. This amazing sweater and leather skirt are from the very talented Lyn Devon. I met Lyn at a trunk show in Dallas, and she showed me through her entire fall line. Everything was beautiful--but these two pieces I had to have! The pieces just arrived today, so I was just trying it on--it was 99 degrees here today, so I won't be wearing it anytime soon.
The leather is so soft with a wonderful waxed look. The sweater is chunky wool, but soft and not itchy at all. Boots by Casadei.
Jane and I are off to NY for a very short trip.
nice!

I like this! The colors are so complementary and without a doubt reminiscent of fall. I really enjoy how that chunky necklace sits against your sweater...nearly identical in hue, but different texturally, and I also enjoy that quick pop of yellow on your wrist.
Normally I wouldn't go for something so....covered up....But I think this looks really great. You've managed to pair a long skirt with high boots and it works really, really well. Great look!

Why do I not believe you about the no shopping thing unless it's vintage...? ;) The texture on that skirt is really something.

LOVE the colors, the hues of red make me long for the trees to start painting the leaves red and gold as they push them to dance toward the ground. Oh, and the boots of course.

This is one of my favorite outfits from you! I love how you work the 70's look perfectly, and the double leather pairing with the skirt and boots. Also have to add I love that you share blogging with your daughter, I lost my mom a few years ago, and seeing you two together really warms my heart. xx

That skirt is perfection - both color and material wise!
Palette of your outfit screams fall for me! Reds, browns and oranges - like the falling leaves :)

You look stunning! I love the dimension you get from the way the red of the sweater slowly evolves into the rusty tone of the boots...wonderful! Have fun in New York, and if you get any *new* vintage, please post. I love seeing the way you put things together. :-)

Judy, I live just east of Dallas. I love the outfit and definitely the color. I cannot bear to wear a sweater even during the winter here in Texas, maybe it's my age, hot flashes? I don't think I've kept a sweater on in the past 5 years for more than an hour. Love your style. Wish you'd follow my blog!

This is a beautiful outfit, and actually makes me anxious for colder weather! All the red and pops of ochre and tan remind me of Matisse's Red Studio, one of my favorite paintings.

That's a beautiful skirt, I love seeing leather in colours other than black! Actually, Karen Walker has done a skirt just like yours but in a linen material this season, it should be up on her website to check it out :)

I want you to repeatedly kick and stamp on my genitals while you are wearing that creamy brown leather skirt and brutally sexy dominant brown leather BOOTS. ouch thinking of you twisting the toe of your creamy brown leather boot into my groin. I love the rippling and squeaking of the leather skirt and the creaking of the sea of brown leather as it conforrms to your powerful female instep. please don't castrate me though
